East London-based Capital Print & Display is taking a second KBA Rapida 205 VLF offset press. The installation, which makes Capital the first European company to run two of these wide format presses, will provide service continuity during the company’s five-mile relocation which is part of the 2012 Olympic Games development.
Capital managing director, David Gill, said: “We are delighted that our carefully thought through plans for a seamless customer experience during the move are well underway. The second KBA will enable us to maintain undisrupted production whist the original press undergoes transportation and re-fitting at the new facility. Ensuring that our customers are not disturbed in any way is an absolute priority for us.”
The company’s new Beckton Waterfront premises boasts a modern, custom designed infrastructure and is close to both DLR stations and London City airport.
