Both the 540 and 280 illuminated laminator tables will be demonstrated by William Smith
Two models from the RollsRoller flatbed laminator range will take centre stage on the William Smith stand at Sign UK 2007. The 540 and 280, both with illuminated tables, will be presented during the show, with fully interactive demonstrations running throughout.
These will include the application of graphics onto large banners and other substrates, application of cut graphics and sign faces onto rigid panels and an illustration of how application tape can be applied quickly.
The aim is to illustrate the benefits available to sign manufacturers, which are said to include increased productivity, faster production times and cost savings, as well as health and safety advantages for operators.
One customer, David Fisher of Greens the Signmaker, enthuses: “Our productivity has increased, cutting the time required in applying vinyl to material by two-thirds. Our costs have been reduced and jobs that previously needed two people can now be done by one person only.”
Additional comments from Henry Craig of Aberdeenshire County Council highlight the safety of the application process using the RollsRoller, which Henry states makes the operator’s life easier, with only one employee required on small jobs. To illustrate this capability, the RollsRoller 540 will be displayed with a mechanised height adjustment system that allows the table to be raised and lowered. This means that operators can adjust the table to their own height, enabling the individual to work in a more comfortable position.
Also on show will be the latest 3M materials, including new decorative window films and films for digital print, such as the new IJ25 and IJ70 series of inkjet printing films. Other stand features will include a cross-section of signage products, including Luminedge, Flexfast and the Stylos finger post system. Members of William Smith’s technical sales team will be on hand to provide details of the company’s material distribution service, together with product samples.
