Digital imaging gets Vybrant
For the first time, Fujifilm Sericol will be showcasing a new portfolio of wide-format digital products and business solutions designed to meet high demand printing need.
Fujifilm Sericol’s director for Europe, Peter Kenehan, said: “Our innovations at Fespa reflect an exciting, vibrant industry, with ever-more demanding buyers and applications. Our job is to give our customers everything they need: products, supply and support to lead in their field.”
Featured machines include the new Acuity HD 2504 equipped with greyscale print heads, offering definition equivalent to 1,440dpi. A new version of the Spyder 320 will be shown with white ink option to boost the near-photographic quality of its higher resolution output. The low-cost Solara UV2 will demonstrate Sericol’s latest six-colour Uvijet ink set, which is claimed to offer the most accurate-to-Pantone gamut of any inkjet ink.
Complementing the UV inkjet line-up will be roll-fed machines running Color+ solvent-based inks for wide and super-wide format. Sericol will demonstrate how it adds value to a customer’s business by improving print quality and production efficiency. High pigment loading is designed to guarantee brilliant, long-lasting colours using up to twenty per cent less ink than competing systems.
Screen ink innovations include a new UV-curing barrier white, said to be the most opaque ink ever produced. Essential to many window, backlit or double-sided graphics, the ink has to be impenetrable to light, while itself being cured by UV light.
Displaymaster XX is specially formulated for polypropylene applications, plus PVC and polystyrene. The product is claimed to resolve the adhesion/ embrittlement trade-off and is the first to meet FOGRA 27 standards.
Other screen applications include a new Dirasol DLE emulsion designed to work with laser-driven digital technology in screen pre-press, plus a new anti-slip screen varnish for floor graphics.
