Conductive inks suit EL and touchscreen applications

Nicomatic is presenting conductive screen printable inks for EL and touchscreen markets. For example, NCS-540AG has been formulated as a general purpose polymer thick film silver containing conductor ideal for electro luminescence and other flexible applications.

Said to offer excellent adhesion to indium tin oxide (ITO), polyester and polyimide substrates, NCS-540AG (using a unique combination of silver flake and resin) is designed to deliver excellent conductivity, abrasion resistance and printability. Carbon resistive ink can be added to give a conductivity.

Specifications include an adhesion/tape pull of 100/100; pencil hardness of 2H; suitability for semi-automatic and manual printers; and over two-hours residence time on the screen.
