Augend’s F16 is designed for producing outside advertising material on flexible substrates
Fespa sees the first public demonstration of the Augend F16, a new, automatic, large format inkjet press designed for producing outside advertising material on flexible substrates.
The F16 operates from standard stock rolls to finished cut sheets, handling vinyl as well as paper-based substrates. The machine’s modular design includes: a feeder (capable of holding up to 1,200kg jumbo rolls up to 1.49m wide); a printing module (accommodating 16, 36, or 48 printing heads); two dryer stations; an X/Y cutting station; and a stacker.
Maximum speed is up to 540m2 when the printing module is configured with 48 Spectra printing heads addressing 12,228 ink jet nozzles. After printing, the media passes through two drying units and is cut and trimmed on the fly. The media transport system features auto correction and can flatten large paper sheets at maximum speed.
