The Gerber Solara UV2 flatbed and roll-fed UV-inkjet edge-to-edge printer takes centre stage
Centre stage on Spandex’ stand is the Gerber Solara UV2 flatbed and roll-fed UV-inkjet edge-to-edge printer. The six-colour (CMYK plus violet and green) machine prints up to 18 1.2 by 2.4m or 200 45 by 61cm signs per day.
Spandex will also introduce Mutoh’s 1.6m ValueJet 1604. The ValueJet prints banners at up to 15.5m2 an hour. The company states banding is practically eliminated thanks to its I2 Intelligent Interweaving technology.
Spandex’s vice president sales Central Europe, Guido Moresi, said: “Fespa Berlin is an excellent platform to demonstrate Spandex’s market leading digital print solutions. It offers a unique opportunity to show customers the breadth of our range and a variety of new products from industry leading brands.”
Mimaki’s solvent printer range will be represented by the JV5 which takes 90s to print 1m2 at 540 by 1,080dpi. Summa’s latest generation print-to-cut solutions will also be demonstrated.
Also present will be Gerber Edge FX, designed to enable quick production of customised, profitable indoor and outdoor graphics. Edge FX provides over 3,500 spot colours, including white, metallic and transparent.
Spandex’s aftermarket material solutions include Avery, 3M, Mactac, Orafol, plus its own ImagePerfect Digital materials. ImagePerfect includes vinyl, mesh, textiles, backlit, window films, overlaminates, heat transfer materials and a range of specialist materials and canvas.
Completing the Fespa line-up is Spandex’s range of modular sign systems.
