NCS will showcase the Rho 600 flatbed UV inkjet printer at its refurbished demonstration centre in Newcastle

Print solutions company, NCS, has invested over £500k in refurbishing the demonstration centre at its Newcastle headquarters to better showcase its wide format expertise. The improvements are supported by a new distribution deal which sees NCS as the only UK-based supplier of the Durst Rho 600 flatbed UV inkjet printer.

Business development manager at NCS Group, Garry Brown, said: “With such cutting edge technology, it is vital to provide support from the outset to demonstrate how the equipment and software can benefit customer projects and to ensure customers reap the rewards of their investment. We now have 25 trained engineers on the road across the UK to ensure the products we supply are running at optimum efficiency.”

NCS has already installed its first Durst Rho 600 at Teesside-based Symbol Signs and is working with the sign maker to ensure the kit is running smoothly.

Commenting on the purchase, managing director at Symbol Signs, Brad Thurrell, said: “NCS has worked hard to integrate the Durst with our existing capabilities and we have definitely benefited from working exclusively with NCS, rather than using several suppliers for specific elements of the project. The Durst has also been a time-saver, enabling us to print direct to media and on a variety of substrates.”
