Environmental executive for McNaughton, Lee Henderson, highlights the company's focus on renewable energy
Testament to its efforts to minimise environmental impact, substrate specialist, the McNaughton Group has been awarded ISO 14001 certification. This recognises the company's best practice in working towards a sustainable future with a reduced ecological footprint, including collaboration with mills that also adopt environmental best practice.
Environmental executive for McNaughton, Lee Henderson, commented: “Our focus for 2006/7 has been renewable energy and we have drawn up a group energy policy to tackle our CO2 emissions. We have set ourselves some tough targets for 2007 in waste management and energy utilisation and reducing our carbon emissions. We are delighted to achieve ISO14001 certification, but environmental best practice needs to be on-going and I look forward to following through the plans we have implemented.”
