The KIP Color 80 is claimed to be the world's first LED monochrome and full colour CMYK plotter in AO. The company states the system’s performance and comparatively low consumption costs make it an attractive offer.
It takes just 17 seconds to print a four-colour AO page, with the system offering the capacity to output 4.8m or 3.5 AO prints per minute. In addition to standard media, such as 80g paper, the machine also works with blue-back paper, glossy, backlit films and even paper weighing up to 135g. Initial tests with uncoated films have also produced competitive results.
