Two new Truepress models meet industrial demand for digital inkjet flexibility

In response to growing demand for digital flexibility and print on demand (POD) solutions, Dainippon Screen has announced two new inkjet printing systems for industrial applications: the Truepress Jet650UV and the Truepress Jet2500UV inkjet printing systems.

Developed specifically for the industrial market, the Truepress Jet650UV has been designed for users that want to incorporate POD systems during the production process in order to print only the required number of copies at the required time. One example would be the digital printing of car instrument panels. To meet this kind of demand, the TPJ650UV is customisable and provides precise, high-resolution, multi-colour imaging.

For large format applications, the Truepress Jet2500UV inkjet system has a maximum print width of 2,500mm. It can print on a variety of media including panels and construction materials, combining the benefits of a flat-bed for rigid substrates and the flexibility of reel printing for flexible material up to 50m long. It has a maximum speed of 70m2/h and can print up to seven colours including a pre-white function. Like the Truepress Jet650UV, the Jet2500UV uses grayscale heads, said to improve image quality.

The Truepress Jet2500UV will be released in Q4 2007, while production versions of the Truepress Jet2500UV are already available.
