B&P Graphics Systems is offering bundles based on the Lancer G2 printer and Uniform Ultima cutting plotter

Two new bundles for sign-makers and display producers have been put together by B&P Graphic Systems. Designed as low-cost printing and cutting packages, the wide-format printer bundles include a cutting plotter plus eco-solvent inks and software, delivered and installed ready to use.

Based on the Lancer G2, two size options are offered, with a maximum material width of 1.3 for the G2 1300 or 1.63m for the G2 1625. Both are supplied with a Uniform Ultima cutting plotter and software. The bundles include a full set of inks, a take-up system and full training as well as the Troop! RIP and are priced at £11,995 for the narrower option and £16,995 for the wider version. Alternatively, they are available from £55/week and £61/week respectively.

Suitable for outdoor applications, both models offer up to three years’ outdoor durability thanks to eco-solvent ink technology, with additional protection from lamination in extra tough environments, such as floor graphics and vehicle liveries. The machines feature four different print resolutions of 540 by 720, 720 by 720, 1,440 by 720 and 1,440 by 1,440dpi which have been pre-defined for fast set-up and grouped in quality, graphics and banner modes. Both models also feature intelligent interweaving ink deposition to reduce the likelihood of banding, mottling and unwanted bleed.

Focussing specifically on Uniform’s own brand Eco-Solvent Ultra ink, users are said to benefit from a wide colour gamut, fast drying time and good adhesion, as well as resistance to scratches, scuffs and chemicals. B&P Graphic Systems claims the inks are more than 20 per cent cheaper than conventional versions with the ability to print onto a range of low cost PVC materials with standard paper backing.

Incorporated as part of the bundle, the Uniform Ultima series of cutting plotters can be used as part of a print and cut solution or as a stand-alone vinyl cutter. It uses its own electronic positioning, designated Epos, to create contour cuts on pre-printed displays as well as featuring drag-knife capabilities. On its own, the cutter can be used for vinyl signs or it can plot and output onto paper. Unlike combined print and cut systems,

the Lancer G2 and Ultima can

work together or operate independently as sign and display production solutions.

Complementing the printer and cutter bundle is the Troop! RIP which contains all the settings needed to prepare images for output, including sizing and cropping, checking colour gamut and tiling. Finally, the bundles include a warranty pack with on-site service for twelve months and cover for print-heads. As well as a support contract, there is a printer cleaning and self-care kit, plus a trouble-shooting guide and the latest Uniform ICC colour profiles.
