Asian ink supplier approved
Mumbai-based ink manufacturer, Aqua Tint, has received 'Xaar approved' status for its solvent ink range. It is the first South Asian ink manufacturer to achieve the title, which confirms that Aqua Tint inks offer good jetting, colour and mechanical properties and, when used with Xaar 128 printheads, provide optimised results.
As an approved ink, Aqua Tint products have passed rigorous test criteria, including materials compatibility, printhead lifetime testing, print performance and extended reliability testing. The inks give optimum performance in the Xaar 128 range of printheads and help protect against short printhead life. As such, they will carry a tamper evident hologram to identify their genuine status. This differentiates Aqua Tint ink from non-approved inks and acts as a deterrent against counterfeiting.
Ink product manager at Xaar, Dr Jill Woods, said: “The South Asian market now has an approved local supplier that enables users to source a quality product quickly and cost-effectively. Our strategy is to work closely with international manufacturers in order to test and approve a range of solvent inks, giving companies the freedom to choose the best ink for their needs with the confidence that they will perform.”
