Wide format trekkers take on three peaks

Members of the R-Team, a collection of employees from wide format printer manufacturer, Roland DG, have raised over £6,000 for charity by completing the arduous Three Peaks Challenge.

The team climbed the highest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland, namely Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis, completing the challenge in just 23 hours and forty minutes: 20 minutes under the official 24 hour time limit.

Marketing executive at Roland DG, Lisa Metcalfe, said: “It was one of the most physically challenging things we have all participated in, but obviously very rewarding and the fact we made it with 20 minutes to spare was a great achievement. On behalf of R-Team, we’d like to thank everyone who sponsored us including generous donations from the staff at Roland.”
