Ricoh is set to bolster its wide format family with the addition of two new devices said to offer high-performance in a small footprint. The Aficio MP W2400 and MP W3600 have been developed to help copy shops, CRDs and drawing rooms enhance the production and distribution of wide format jobs.

Both machines are supplied with an 80GB hard drive, enabling users to reproduce documents without needing to re-feed sometimes irreplaceable originals.

Other new products for the professional print market include the new Priport DX4640PD duplex digital duplicator developed to offer fast, low-cost performance. Capable of producing up to 240 A4 prints per minute, the network-ready system makes high volume double sided printing a continuous process and could save CRDs both time and money.

In addition to the wide format and digital duplicator devices, Ricoh is also increasing its range of print controllers for use with high volume devices. Customers using the Aficio MP 9000, 1100 or 1350 family of mono devices will be able to select one of three controllers, depending on their application. The options include an embedded entry-level controller, the Fiery EB-135, which offers extended print performance and job queue monitoring for Adobe PostScript files, complex graphics and variable data output. Ricoh will also be showing EFI’s MicroPress 7, a production workflow server, which automates order production, negating the need for manual booklet creation, insertion of tabs or document collation.
