One-day workshops help sell digital signage
Following interest in its digital signage technology, 3M has announced a series of training workshops for existing and potential UK or Ireland resellers at the 3M centre in Berkshire.
The one-day events are aimed at resellers seeking a more in-depth understanding of Vikuiti rear projection displays and 3M digital signage software to enable successful promotion and specification of the products.
The next workshops will be held on 21 September and 7 November 2007 and will feature case studies from existing installations as well as an overview of the software including a detailed explanation of 3M network edition content management software and 3M network operations manager software for remote network infrastructure monitoring and maintenance. Events will also offer an introduction to interactive window technology using ViP interactive foils from Visual Planet combined with 3M Vikuiti rear projection film.
Sales manager at Paradigm AV, Mick Perrone, attended the first workshop, which was held in August. He said: “I knew a fair bit about Vikuiti rear projection displays already but the workshop helped me learn how to get more out of the film. The hands-on element of the day was also very useful.”
Sales and marketing manager, 3M Digital Signage and Optical Systems, Simon Birkenhead, said: “The workshops are ideal for any organisation wanting to understand 3M’s software and rear projection technologies in greater depth. They are intended to enable potential new channel partners determine if they want to become a reseller and they also act as training for new employees at existing 3M digital signage resellers.
He continued: “In the year since it was launched, Vikuiti rear projection has generated enormous interest in large format window digital display screens. It has been used by retailers and organisations across 21 countries, including many customers in the UK. Powered by 3M digital signage software, these displays can show any dynamic content and be controlled from your desktop. Our workshops offer a great opportunity to get involved in digital signage.”
