Garment decoration with the wow factor
At a time when direct-to-garment printing is growing in popularity, The Magic Touch has introduced a new transfer paper designed to produce vibrant colours on a variety of substrates using a laser printer instead of traditional screen or litho techniques.
Suitable for use with cotton, poly-cotton, nylon, leather, polyester sportswear and neoprene fabrics, Wow transfer paper can be used to create durable designs and logos with a soft feel. No cutting or weeding is involved and transfers can be produced at up to 15 A4 per minute.
According to The Magic Touch, Wow papers offer a valuable addition to existing OBM transfer papers, plotter MagiCut flex, flock and glitters. The technology is ideal for complex or detailed designs that cannot be profile cut and weeded and is said to provide a level of detail and consistency unachievable using screen or litho based transfers. It is also environmentally friendly, with no chemicals or inks required.
Managing director, Jim Nicol, commented: “Wow will change the rules on garment decoration. It’s the final piece of technology to make
the digital image transfer process complete.”
