Designed to meet the needs of the large format screen printing industry, G Bopp has introduced a new, thinner mesh developed by Swiss specialists Sefar.

Suitable for use on posters, architectural glass, textile transfer and point of sale products, this new high modulus polyester mesh is said to provide high tension values and reduced tension loss, resulting in dimensional stability and process reliability. The mesh also features fine threads and large, regular mesh openings to produce uniform ink deposits, fine colour graduation and sharp edged fine lines and screen dots for optimum resolution.

According to G Bopp high resistance to tearing, minimal elongation and slower tension loss after stretching means the stencil can be used more often and for longer print runs. Other operational benefits include improvements in overall screen strength and ink flow, together with reductions in moiré and ghosting.

Finally, LFM makes printing black

as the last colour on a four colour process more straightforward, as the thinner mesh makes it easier to

bring black ink into contact with the substrate.
