The newly formed Association of Imaging Professionals (AIM) is set to host its first formal gathering bringing together a variety of professionals involved in printed image production.

Delegates will include sign and banner printers, exhibition display producers, vehicle livery specialists and professional photolab managers, who will come together to share cross-industry information and advice.

Scheduled to take place during the annual conference of the Photo Marketing Association, on 9 and 10 October 2007, the programme for the event has now been confirmed. Presentations on day one will cover business models and technology for the future while the programme for the second day focuses on digital print and display. It will cover topics such as trends in the use of fine art papers, making the most of digital photo printing opportunities and digital inks and the environment. Among the speakers will be managers from companies such as Epson, Canon and HP as well as experts on specialist subjects.

A trade show featuring a number of digital imaging manufacturers runs concurrently with the conference along with two user group sessions designed to introduce delegates to new products and enable them to exchange ideas with each other.
