Partnership improves proofing power
Suitable for proofing and large format production, Epson's new Stylus Pro 4880, 7880, 9880 and 11880 printers are supported by the latest version of EFI Colorproof XF software.
This will enable users in the proofing community and print production industry to print various levels of proofs with an accurate, consistent gamut colour. The new solution is also said to extend colour gamut using Epson's new UltraChrome K3 ink with vivid magenta technology.
General manager of Epson's inkjet business product planning department, Hiroshi Sotokawa, said: “The partnership between Epson and EFI allows us to address the diversifying needs of proofing customers in the best possible way. We're confident that customers will find great value in this new combination of proofing technologies.”
New features of EFI's inkjet proofing solution include: intelligent clean colour technology for vivid, saturated colour with pleasant modulation and clean appearance; a full gamut function, which lets users exploit the maximum colour gamut of their printing equipment, and support for the most recent proofing standards, including ISO 12647-7 and support of IT8.7.4 Chart.
General manager, graphic arts solutions, EFI, Stefan Spiegel, said: “Epson's solutions for image quality and colour gamut, particularly the new UltraChrome K3 ink with vivid magenta technology, combined with our Bestcolor inkjet proofing and production solution will impress demanding customers. Those who purchase Colorproof XF for Epson Stylus Pro printers will be able to take accuracy and consistency to a new level.”
