One of the first companies to relocate as a result of being displaced by the 2012 Olympics, Capital has officially opened its new facility at Beckton.

As well as providing the marketing solutions company with 12,000m2 of floor space, the move has enabled Capital to invest in a second KBA 205 Rapida large format offset press, Flowmation web-based project communication system and Chim 92 screen cleaning system.

During the official opening, Capital’s customers, suppliers and VIP guests were given a guided tour of the new, custom-built facility, enabling them to see the production benefits delivered by the site as well as the environmentally friendly building design, which includes energy saving and recycling features. The event was attended by double Olympic champion, Daley Thompson CBE, who was guest of honour throughout the day.

Managing director at Capital, David Gill, said: “This is a great opportunity to showcase our new building and we are honoured that Daley Thompson is with us. His speed, strength and skill, which enabled him to win decathlon honours, also characterise our ethos when it comes to customer service and the ability to deliver.”
