Operators investing in the Jeti range of printers from Gandinnovations can now access a faster and more powerful graphic user interface (GUI) designed to drag and drop, as well as manipulate and manage artwork files.

All new Jeti printers will feature the interface, which allows users to create a new image layout and setup, while the printer is busy printing. The totally graphical system also incorporates pop-up messages, giving recommendations to solve any printing problems that arise and warnings against images that are not ripped according to the current printer configuration. A report window and web browser interface also feature to aid job tracking, including substrate and ink usage.

Three RIPs are offered with the Jeti printers. Images, which can be cropped, rotated, mirrored and nested, are stored on the console's 80GB disk and are viewed as thumbnails. The new GUI can communicate with all popular operating systems so operators can send print ready files direct to the printer from any computer on the network.
