Developed specifically for imaging applications, Alcan Composites' new Forexprint rigid foam plastic sheet is said to offer super-bright white surfaces coupled with a mid-range price making it ideal for signs and displays.

UK sales manager, Simon Philpott, said: “Forexprint represents another step forward for flatbed imaging substrates. The super white surface on both sides of the sheet is optimised for digital print colour reproduction with fine detail resolution. This is enhanced with a new PE protective film, which eliminates the possibility of ghosted images from the film appearing on the sheet.”

Suitable for outdoor and indoor use, Forexprint has a fine, closed cell structure preventing water ingress at cut edges and reducing the amount of dust produced when cut or drilled. Designed to be smooth and indentation-free, the surfaces of Forexprint are UV resistant to avoid discoloration in external applications. A range of sheet thicknesses are available, from two to 10mm, in sheets up to 2,030mm wide. It is available through Europoint Display and ThyssenKrupp Materials plastics division.
