Specify planet-friendly consumables
Large format print and media distributor, Atech, is now stocking Dickson’s EverGreen media. The planet-friendly products have been developed to reduce waste, emissions and energy and are free from volatile carcinogenic and reprotoxic fabrics such as PVC, pthalates, phosphates, formaldehyde, glycol-ether often used in conventional media. EverGreen products do not create any VOC during production and are said to use 80 per cent less electricity than traditional PVC banner medias.
Packed in 100 per cent recyclable cardboard, the fabrics are lightweight compared to PVC, which means they require less fuel for travel. After use, EverGreen Fabrics can be destroyed by local specialised companies, limiting the circulation of trucks, which are responsible for greenhouse gas emissions. During decomposition the EverGreen range is designed to create half the leachate pollution of a normal PVC banner.
Director of Atech, Stuart MacMahon, said: “The EverGreen range is not only one of the most eco-friendly ranges on the market, but excellent quality and value for money. By using it you know that its creation causes less acid rain and its destruction releases less greenhouse gases.”
The range includes: Jet Tex lightweight flexible fabric, Jet 220 fire retardant fabric and Eclypse, which conforms to strict flame retardancy norms for use in high density human traffic areas such as airports, train stations, subways, trade shows and shopping malls.
