Universal technology drives inkjet evolution
TTP's universal printhead drivers will speed time to market for new printers
Independent technology and product development company, The Technology Partnership (TTP), has launched a range of digital printer electronics and software capable of driving all types of industrial inkjet printers to reduce the cost, complexity and time-to-market for new print systems.
Known as Meteor, the system drives most digital printhead types in any configuration including arrays of printheads used for single-pass, high quality commercial graphics printing. It consists of a printhead-independent USB print controller card and head driver cards specific to each brand of inkjet printhead. To date the biggest selling head driver cards have been for Xaar/ ToshibaTec greyscale printheads and Fujifilm Dimatix Spectra printheads. Meteor is also suitable for large arrays of inkjet printheads now being developed for commercial graphics printing with printheads such as the Spectra Galaxy, the ToshibaTec CE2 and Xaar 1001.
