Adobe advice is star attraction
Hints, tips and helpful advice will be the star attraction of the Adobe Theatre, which returns to Sign and Digital UK this year as the first in a series of seminars, workshops and classes to be announced for the show. The theatre will repeat on each day of the show, from 22 to 24 April, ensuring that all visitors can attend.
Workshops will be conducted by Terry Steeley of Iridius on subjects including Adobe Illustrator CS3, Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional, while Richard West from Apple will be running seminars on the benefits of OS X Leopard, the new operating system from Apple and Aperture 1.5. The seminar programme concludes on each day with an Ask Adobe session, where visitors are invited to put the experts to the test.
Terry Steeley comments: "This year has seen the launch of Adobe Creative Suite Three, as well as an entirely new operating system from Apple. Getting these applications to run seamlessly together is becoming easier all the time, however, there are always techniques that can help simplify things further. With these skills-based theatres we hope to impart some of techniques that help these applications to fulfil their potential. It is important that the seminars are not simply a walk-through of new features, rather that they contain some clear and helpful advice that can be applied when working with these applications day to day."
Show director, Rudi Blackett, added: "Applications from Adobe are widely used by people working in the industry. To have a skills-based workshop on hand where visitors can come and get hints, tips and advice from experts is an incredibly useful feature."
