Don't crack up over stretch mounting
Giclée Varnish from DCP is designed to eradicate the problem of edge cracking when stretch mounting fine art digital canvas prints over a frame
Developed to eradicate the problem of edge cracking when stretch mounting fine art digital canvas prints, DCP's new Giclée Varnish features an enhanced formulation with elastomeric polymers. The new varnish can be applied in multiple coats, by roller, with minimal foaming and no need for a final coat applied by brush.
Initially available in Satin finish, Giclée Varnish has been designed to protect, preserve and enhance fine art and photographic prints produced on digital inkjet printers. It works by binding the inkjet receptive coating in place, giving it extra elasticity to reduce cracking for cleaner, stretched prints.
Suitable for use with pigment based inks on Piezo printers, the new varnish is designed to increase resistance to image fading as well as protecting against moisture and abrasion. This non yellowing product is also water based, to avoid the hazardous fumes given off by solvent products.
Other products in the Giclée range include DCP's stretch canvas featuring an ink receptive, acid-free coating which also helps protect against cracking. Complementing this is the varnish roller kit, and the Quickmate canvas stretcher.
