Trade-up for LFP innovation
Underlining its commitment to the large format printer (LFP) market, Canon UK has introduced a new initiative to share the cost of upgrading to new technology. Selected resellers in the Canon partner channel will be able to offer up to £800 towards new Canon printers in the CAD/GIS range, when customers trade in healthy old LFP equipment, regardless of manufacturer.
Set to support modernisation in the CAD and GIS markets, the trade-in program will give users access to the imagePROGRAF iPF600 and iPF700. Both are said to aid smooth colour shading, high-definition expression, accuracy and image sharpness due to their Fiine technology and four picolitre ink droplets. Moreover, Canon claims the1,200dpi rendering will reproduce fine lines and small characters without distortion while achieving prints from 67p for an A2 or £1.57 for an A0, including consumable and media costs. Two types of black ink are available, photo black and matte black (MBK), and users can print onto glossy or matte paper.
Director Canon partner channel, Canon UK, Geoff Slaughter, commented: “Canon’s large format portfolio is developing and we hope that this scheme will encourage customers to experience the versatility and quality of our printers. Our large format printers can print plans and maps as well as presentations, so there is no need to purchase two printers. We are committed to the LFP industry and we wanted to support our customers’ needs for innovation and return on investment by making the purchase of our LFP technology a viable business opportunity.”
