Branding service expands
ESP Technologies' EFI Vutek QS3200 UV-cure printer is capable of printing onto rigid media up to 3.2m wide
Increasing demand for UV-curable print prompted branding specialist, ESP Technologies Group, to invest in an EFI Vutek QS3200 flat-bed and roll-fed printer. This enables the Kent based graphic display company to output direct to wide rigid materials. The printer complements its other wide format equipment, which includes a Vutek 5300 five metre wide solvent-based machine, a liquid laminator of the same width, a Vutek PressVu flat-bed system and five metre welder.
Capable of printing direct to rigid materials up to 3.2m wide and 5.08cm thick, the QS3200 was chosen for its print quality and production speed. Featuring a maximum output resolution of 1080dpi, the QS3200 prints in six colours and has an option for white ink. Productivity advantages include a feed-side control module for near-continuous output and, as a hybrid unit, it is suitable both for roll-fed and rigid materials with the change-over to flexible media said to take less than a minute.
Managing director of ESP Technologies Group, Stephen Hood, commented: "Our clients expect us to go beyond typical print provider services. The result is that we produce challenging high quality jobs for a variety of applications. The addition of the QS3200 enables us to broaden our mix of technologies, responding to the increasing demand for UV-curable ink technologies."
