Retractable banner withstands strong winds
Expand's Media Screen 2 is billed as the first retractable banner display with sufficient stability and durability for outdoor use. For year-round usage, the frame is manufactured from stainless materials combining matt and shiny finishes, such as aluminium, steel and chromed zinc.
It is equipped with a support pole and top profiles to endure strong winds as well as stabilising feet which can be fitted quickly for additional support. The display can be used on a variety of surfaces such as sand, snow, asphalt and grass, utilising a series of drainage holes in the base to let water and other matter out.
Sales director, Julian Rowlandson, said: “The greatest challenge was finding the right tension to ensure the display stands upright in strong winds. We solved this using a specially designed pole together with stabilising feet. We have also tried to make the unit as small as possible, making it easy to carry.”
MediaScreen displays can be fitted with a visual graphic measuring 85 by 180cm using a range of Expand print media designed specifically for outdoor use. Said to offer exceptional flatness, the media can be used with solvent, dye and pigment ink machines and require no lamination.
