Track and solve static issues
Meech's new 983v2 Static Locator can be used on any material where static is an issue
Meech has launched a new a pocket-sized device designed to measure static electrical charges over a range of voltages. The 983v2 Static Locator is ideal for production, maintenance, inspection and quality engineers and can be used on any material where static is an issue. Benefits are said to include fast response time, low drift and intuitive operation.
Units feature a continuous mode to measure fluctuation in charge levels, while the highest charge is detected with a peak hold mode. An integral distance meter indicates the correct operating range, ensuring accurate and consistent readings.
Measurement range is -200 to 200kV at a distance of 150mm, with a resolution of 100V and an accuracy of better than ±5 per cent on calibration. All units are supplied with an individual calibration certificate for QC records. Constructed in a robust plastic housing and featuring a high contrast LCD for visibility in poor lighting, units are supplied with an instrument case for safe storage.
