New RIP offers fastrack flexibility
Revised PosterPrint v.2008 software allows on the fly changes of print parameters
Following a period of development and beta trials, ErgoSoft has introduced its revised RIP software: PosterPrint v.2008. Designed for applications such as LFP, sublimation, flags and banners and sign making, the new RIP software is said to combine an intuitive user interface with new functions which increase productivity and flexibility.
With integrated multi core CPU technology, the new RIP software can be up to 30 per cent faster than its predecessor. Features include an extended JobQueueViewer, now known as the JobCenter, which offers an overview of the status of the printer, cutter and the RIP. A new JobTicket function gives details on every job and enables you to recall this information later, while the new PrintClient allows on the fly changes of print parameters to optimise printer settings such as the number of passes, uni- or bidirectional printing and changing the temperature at the printer heating. Finally Ergosoft has added a new feature to estimate costs, helping users to price quotes.
Optional additions mean the modular software can be customised to user requirements with functions such as variable data. This allows users to incorporate variation within a print run, such as printing sport shirts with the same pattern but different numbers or names.
