Teaming up with fantastic plastics
In a move set to expand its PMMA portfolio, Yorkshire plastics stockist and distributor, Century Plastics, has formed an alliance with the acrylic manufacturer, Altuglas International.
As part of the Arkema Group, Altuglas International claims to produce one quarter of the world's PMMA output. Products include cast and extruded sheet acrylic, as well as a range of speciality products such as Night and Day, a cast acrylic sheet which is coloured in the day, but glows white during the night when backlit. Century can also offer Altuglas Soft Fluo-FX, a cast acrylic sheet that glows fluorescent under UV light.
Managing director of Century Plastics, David McCullough, said: “Teaming up with a globally recognised company in the plastics market will benefit customers by giving them access to Altuglas International’s varied and exciting products.”
National sales manager of Altuglas, Sandie Withington added: “After observing the dynamics of the Century Plastics sales team, it is clear that they have the dedication and enthusiasm to support our products. We are confident they will deliver high levels of customer service.”
