Super saver helps printers stay solvent
A second solvent ink manufactured by Indian company, Aqua Tint, has been approved by Xaar. The Super Saver ink, which has been approved for use with Xaar 128 printheads, is ideal for low cost and less demanding lightfast applications.
This is the second Aqua Tint ink to receive approval in the space of six months, following Xaar's approval of the company's regular ink last year. The company claims to be the first South Asian ink manufacturer to gain approved status from Xaar, for which it had to undergo rigorous testing including materials compatibility, print performance and extended reliability testing.
Aqua Tint director, Saurabh Goswamy, said: "The Super Saver grade from the Aqua Tint product portfolio is the most competitive product in the Indian market and having Xaar approval demonstrates that competitive pricing does not mean a compromise on quality."
Ink product manager at Xaar, Dr Jill Woods, explained: "Our scheme of approving a range of internationally manufactured solvent inks allows companies to choose the best ink for their needs, according to their budget. The Super Saver ink, used with our 128 printheads, will suit customers with tight budgets, while still delivering a high level of performance."
