Welcome to the second issue of Plastics and Board which I trust you will find both useful and enjoyable. It seems only a moment ago that I was welcoming you to the first issue and before you know it we shall be completing the September magazine.

The PBIF website is now active as a microsite at www.spdi-online.com and we are currently in the process of producing a Products and Services Directory. As soon as this is up and running we will contact you with details of how to upload your company details under appropriate classified headings.

Invoices went out to everyone in April, with a pleasing number responding complete with cheques for which we are most grateful. There are still a few payments outstanding (you are probably waiting for a statement) there really is no need!  Seriously though, as mentioned in a previous e-cast, if we are to get the PBIF going properly again we do need your membership fees paid as soon as possible and, from your point of view as an advertiser, membership discount is well worth having. The 2008 media pack is downloadable from the drop-down PBIF menu on the web site.

Thank you to all those who have supplied advertisements, stories, articles and press releases for the first two issues, we would be interested to receive feedback on the results, bearing in mind the vastly increased circulation that the magazine now has. Deadline for the September issue is 7 August so please start thinking about it now.

Please send news, articles, press releases and other items of interest to pbifnewsdesk@datateam.co.uk  Also, if you have ideas of what you would like to see in future issues in the journal and for the PBIF, please call me on 01483 277387 or e-mail turner13@btconnect.com

We are here to help.

Until next month, keep busy and profitable

Mike Turner
