Sign Digital UK Review: Standing for quality

Atomic Media & Display launched a direct sales initiative for its Clustarack media storage units. Supported by its promo video, Clusta Chaos, playing on rotation via large screen on the stand, the company exceeded double the targeted sales for the show.

Thanks to the video, combined website and YouTube, hits reached over 245,000 in the three-weeks following Sign UK. Also online sales are attracting enquiries from America and Australia.

The company states Clustarack, designed to hold rolled media for the large format print and finishing industry, met with an overwhelming response from customers and re-sellers. Units store all medias: aqueous-based (2in core) and solvent (3in core) with a roll width of up to 60in.

Essentially a time and waste saving device, Clustarack stores media vertically on a flat base, preventing roll end damage which invariably causes waste and downtime when printhead snags occur. The flexible design and physics of the footprint prevents toppling, eliminating the inevitable ‘domino effect' as rolls knock into each other, causing waste and damage to expensive media. Units can also store media post print.

Clustarack is currently available in three sizes: Media 12/75 for solvent based and finishing materials, holding 12 rolls per unit; Media 12/50 & 24/50 for aqueous based products, to hold 12 and 24 rolls respectively. The 'prong' grid system eases media access and allows clear recognition of material types, making stock easier to manage and maintain.
