The Howard Smith Group (HSPG), in partnership with The Print Circle, has launched a free, web-based tool to assist organisations secure Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
This tool incorporates a gap-analysis and check-list to help determine how ready a business is for audit or their level of need in developing policies and procedures. Users can choose whether to develop policies and procedures in-house using the tool at no cost, book half day consultancy on how to use the tool, or take full consultancy from The Print Circle.
Importantly, the web-based tool will also provide on-going value for certified companies. It will give access to a reconciliation of all their HSPG FSC purchases, the most up-to-date HSPG Chain of Custody certificates, product group schedule and guidance on correct labelling. These are all key requirements within the standards. UK consultancy, The Print Circle will also inform registered users of any changes to the standards.
Former WRAP and paper industry specialist, Jonathan Tame, is part of the new HSPG strategic business development team that established the partnership with The Print Circle. He explained: "This partnership demonstrates that we want to ensure customers attain the best advice and information from specialists. Key to this initiative is not just the short term gain in becoming certified but, the on-going value in helping customers remain compliant."
