Specialist AV distributor, Mentor Distribution, is now a UK distributor for the NEC SpectraView range of colour calibrated monitors.

In addition to the current range of SpectraView LCD calibrated monitors, Mentor will be supplying the new SpectraView 3090. This 30in wide model displays 98 per cent of the Adobe RGB Colour Space and possesses NEC's XLight Pro self-adjustment technology. It also features 12 bit look-up tables for consistent colour and brightness and comes with calibration software and hood as standard.

This high-end LCD is ideal for professional users in the DTP, pre-press and soft-proofing sectors, as well as for image processing or on industrial four colour printing presses, where precise colour consistency in the widest possible range of colours is a fundamental requirement.

NEC sales manager for specialist displays, Richard Wilks, said: "For the first time you can soft proof on screen with confidence, knowing that all the recognised print and digital/web colour spaces are achievable. Each SpectraView is hand calibrated and screened in the factory, balancing brightness and colour, to ensure extended colour accuracy.

"Mentor's experience in this field is of paramount importance to us to grow this business across both the Mac and PC markets."
