Courses create inspiration
Two new courses on the latest developments and applications in print technology have been organised by the international group, Colour Research for European Advanced Technology Employment (Create) at the University of the West of England.
The short courses, which focus on print on paper and textiles will demonstrate how existing technology is used and how it might be applied to new areas. They will also demonstrate emerging technologies and new ideas that may not yet have a practical application, but would facilitate a dialogue between sectors.
‘On Paper...' will be held at the University of the West of England from 13 to 17 October and ‘On Fabric...' will be held at the University of Ulster from 19 to 22 October.
Carinna Parraman, of the Centre for Fine Print Research at UWE said: "Print technology exists in a rapidly changing environment. There is so much we can learn from new techniques and there are new technologies in one field which may have applications in another. Our goal is to enable participants to embrace existing technology and new techniques to enhance their practise."
