Alkor Draka b.v - Caring for customers and for the environment
How to reach specifiers?
As a worldwide leading supplier of the stationery industry Alkor Draka b.v. have now created the latest version of their ‘Designer Collection Binder'.
It is supplied to leading design agencies throughout the UK to show the extensive print and grain finishes available in PVC film, compared to the somewhat limited effects of other plastic materials. Alkor Draka b.v. is committed to promoting PVC as the most versatile material available to modern designers, who are looking to design creative and innovative products for their clients. The Alkor Draka sales team is currently presenting this collection to Designers to show them just how creative they can be when using PVC.
Unlike their main ‘rivals' they offer the widest ex-stock single colour range (known as Alpha) in a selection of thicknesses many of which are equivalent to recognized colour standards within the printing industry for as little as one roll.
The choice of their clear film is also wide and varied in terms of surface finish, thickness and flexibility, determined by either stationery or packaging applications.
To complete the collection they have a vast choice of traditional, contemporary and ultra new designs in PVC film, expanded vinyl, full/partial flock PVC all available from stock to cater for most tastes. However, this is only part of the story, if you are looking for customization then, with the knowledge and expertise of their design and R&D facility they can create something for you that is quite unique. Their full range of no fewer than 400 ex-stock items can be found in the 3 collection binders (The Peacock Collection) that have recently been redesigned to reflect how various materials and welding techniques can be employed to good effect. The original concept of dividing the range into three parts has been retained:
- Clear - Uni Colour - Hot Club - Specials
- Studio X
- Luxyl - Floxyl - Xousmain
Because the environment is such an important issue to them, Alkor Draka b.v. are also promoting PVC as a positive material that can be used safely as it has been for the last 50 years and be recycled at the end of its lifecycle. Alkor Draka b.v. only uses organic based pigments in the production of their products. Incineration of PVC sheeting produces hydrochloric acid (HCI), which can be filtered in modern incinerators and reverts to Salt. This can be returned to industry for the production of chlorine.
Due to the limited reserves of crude oil used in PVC sheeting, incineration produces less CO2 (carbon dioxide) than plastic sheeting with a 100% crude oil base. Carbon Dioxide can cause harm to the environment through this ‘Greenhouse Effect'
In view of the environment topics that play a big roll in today's business, Alkor Draka b.v has created a Unicolour range of Recycled PVC sheeting.
