Following the success of its Clustarack media storage unit, Atomic Media and Display is set to launch a combination rack for storing two and three inch core materials together. The new Clustarack Combi exhibits the same advantages of the original product, which is designed to store hand rolled media vertically on a flat base. This helps prevent damage to the roll end, which can cause waste and downtime when printhead snags occur.
Director of Atomic Media, Simon Twigger, said: "We developed the Clustarack system for the large format print and finishing industry, where it has proved popular. The physics of the footprint area prevents toppling, eliminating the domino effect as rolls knock into each other, causing waste and damage to expensive rolls of media."
The units can be used to store media prior to print, or post print before finishing. The prong grid system is designed to make access to media easy and allows clear recognition of material types, making stock easier to manage and maintain.
