Kaye-Dee has entered the digital printing world with its Kimoto Freejet 320 which offers an extended CMYKRB colour space and resolution up to 5,760dpi. The system uses a solvent based pre-coating spray and mild solvent ink. This combination is formulated to create a scratch and abrasive resistant layer allowing a wide field of applications including plastic, metal, wood, foam, acrylic, marble and stone.

A built-in material table can be height adjusted, while the motorised table automatically detects substrate thickness using an optical sensor. The table does not move during printing so heavy pieces, up to 30kg, can be printed. The system is ideal for personalising promotional items including golf balls, rulers, lighters, pens and rigid substrates (up to 120mm thick).

With no RIP software necessary, the printer can be linked to a PC using an USB printer driver that lets users set parameters such as print mode and resolution. Preparing and printing images is said to requires little set-up time and can be achieved using standard software applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Publisher and Word.

Kaye-Dee also supplies a range of consumables including eco solvent inks, pre-coating sprays and cleaning solutions.
