During visits to members to try and find common requirements for PBIF Membership, we have discovered the majority of those visited to date are happy with the current offering, including the combination of magazine and web site.
There is definitely interest in an Awards of Excellence programme amongst manufacturing members. We will look into the feasibility of this as it will need the support of a number of companies to make it viable. This could lead to an annual get-together with an awards ceremony and dinner which again is favoured by some members.
One useful feature of the previous web site, in the form of a ‘grapevine', has also been missed. Here, members could post details of items for sale/wanted, so we are looking into this as a possibility. In the meantime, I have asked the Editor to feature a grapevine in each issue of SPDI magazine so, if you have items to post, please send them to me at the e-mail address below.
PBIF web site traffic is building nicely now, so please would all members who have their own web site make sure it is listed in your company details and on the free Directory section, otherwise you will miss out on potential enquiries and enhancement of your internet profile.
