Designed to deliver high-volume production at a competitive price, Inca Digital Printers' new Inca Onset S20 UV flatbed printer will be available from distributor, Fujifilm Sericol, from March 2009.
MD of Inca Digital, Bill Baxter, explained: "The Onset is ideal for customers with high productivity, however we recognise that most customers do not need to produce 600m2h of print. The Onset S20 is aimed at customers who like the features of the Onset but who sell less output and want a lower price point. With this addition, Inca offers machines to suit any budget and throughput need."
Engineered to provide quality and flexibility, the Onset S20 features Inca configured printheads on a full print width colour bar with a 28 picolitre drop size. The ability to control pulse width and voltage on each printhead enhances control and users can replace individual printheads to reduce maintenance costs.
The Onset S20 prints edge to edge over a 3.12 by 1.6m area on a moving bed on substrates as thick as 50mm. The vacuum table allows users to print single and double sided on a variety of sheet sizes, with semi-automated material handling as an option.
Fujifilm Sericol's Uvijet four colour CMYK is the standard colour set, but Ultratone inks and white versions are available, with a choice of satin, semi-gloss and gloss finishes. Applications include display POS, exhibition graphics, backlit/frontlit displays and outdoor signage printing. As with the faster Onset, an integrated scanner ensures accurate print density and allows printhead nozzle mapping and alignment to ensure quality.
