Backing a winner
Roland DG (UK) is pleased to announce Tim Eaves of Tim Eaves Signs as the winner of its VersaArt RS-640 competition, which came to a close during Viscom Italia 2008. Valued at £12,000, the VersaArt RS-640 will join a Roland VersaCAMM SP- 300 30in integrated printer/cutter already installed at the company.
Tim Eaves said: "The larger width of the new machine means I will no longer have to outsource bigger jobs, which will improve turnaround times and reduce costs. It will also allow me to grow my current vehicle lettering market and produce larger vehicle wraps and outdoor graphics."
Head of product management, Roland DG (UK), Brett Newman, added : "The VersaArt RS-640's speed and quality make it ideal for breaking into new markets or boosting production capacity."
It can produce a range of graphics from precision composite designs to large outdoor posters and banners and supports a variety of substrates including high-end proofs, vinyl, textiles and eco- friendly papers.
