Stanford Marsh Group has announced the launch of a dedicated website focused on the 3D print sector. Stanford Marsh is already an established distributor of Stratasys’ range of 3D print solutions. Following Stratasys’ merger with Objet, the company’s portfolio of 3D products has expanded considerably in recent months and the company believes the growing 3D sector now merits a more devoted online resource.

Fujifilm announces Jet Press 540W
Fujifilm has announced the commercial availability of its Jet Press 540W digital inkjet web press (formerly known as Jet Press W). Launched as a technology showcase at drupa 2012, the press is targeted at high quality, short run digital print such as leaflets and personalised magazines, as well as school textbooks, book printing and newspapers. Available immediately, it has recently been installed in Fujifilm's Advanced Print Technology Centre in Brussels for European demonstrations.

Resolution(GB) unveils new dust covers
Resolution(GB) trading as HP Plotter, has announced their forthcoming Fugazi Range of Designjet Dust Covers. Manufactured in the UK, the new covers will become available from mid-February. Starting with the Designjet T120 and T520 range, Resolution(GB) has plans to roll out covers for the remaining HP Designjet T and Z series models later in the year.
Putting the gloss on print
Roland DG has introduced the LEC-330, the company's newest VersaUV LEC UV ink curable 30in inkjet printer/cutter, capable of printing CMYK, white and gloss. Applications ranging from package prototyping to labels and decals.
UV substrate is fire safe
Neschen has launched a new low-cost print medium. Called UVprint nolite, it is available in two thicknesses 420 and 210µm) for pop-up and roll-up applications. Both have a matt surface treatment to provide good printing characteristics with UV inks. They also carry fire certification to DIN 4102-B1. Both grades suit exhibition, indoor and outdoor use. Neschen also claims the scratch-resistant, water-fast surface finish is virtually immune to static build up.
Canon announces new models
Canon has upgraded its large format printer range with the launch of two new imagePROGRAF devices with optional MFP capabilities which will deliver more efficient printing and scanning of large format technical documents for design and engineering professionals.
Three-in-one printer drives textile productivity
Mimaki Engineering has introduced a new dye-sublimation and direct-to-textile inkjet printer, designed to provide ink cost savings. The TX400-1800D will be shipped in Europe from February 2010.

Roland DG has announced the new 64in VersaCAMM VS-640. Available in three configurations, this printer/cutter delivers new application potential with metallic ink. The printer is also available configured to print dual CMYK and as a Hi-Fi colour printer with light cyan and light magenta, plus white ink.

Epson launches SureColor SC-F series
Epson has entered the dye sublimation printing market for the first time with the announcement of two roll-fed dye sublimation printers; the 44-inch SureColor SC-F6000 and the 64-inch SureColor SC-F7000.

In search of white
Grapo Technologies has announced strong demand for its Manta wide format UV flatbed printer with a white ink option.
Sales director, Branislav Oravec, said: “With seven units already sold since Fespa, we are looking forward to ongoing success with this new option. Also, four-color Manta printers in the field can easily be upgraded to include the white ink option.”
New substrates suitable for latex inks
Neschen has announced five new digital print media certified by HP as suitable for use with its latex inks. Two are self-adhesive vinyl substrates and three are digital wallpapers. Together with the HP Designjet L65500, the new media can produce displays for POP, exhibitions and vehicle graphics, street and building advertising and commercial and domestic interiors.
Artists demand quality result
Targeted squarely at the signs, advertising and art print sectors, Sihl has announced two new large format coated canvas media. The inkjet media specialist developed Miro Gallery Canvas White 340 and Fortuna Artist Canvas White 400 to meet growing demand for quality media in the artist sector.
