Pantone has announced myPANTONE, an iPhone application which gives printers the freedom to capture, create and share Pantone.
Pantone's vice president of strategic business development, Helmut Eifert, said: "Providing a digital, portable design studio and essential colour tools at their fingertips, myPANTONE gives printers the freedom to access Pantone colours anywhere."
myPANTONE takes advantage of the iPhone's built-in camera to let users capture whatever inspires them. Colours can be extracted from photos and then matched to the closest colour. Users can share colour palettes with other iPhone users and automatically post notification of new palettes to Facebook and Twitter, attaching text notes and voice annotations to palettes when posting.
