Semi-automatic printers major on flexibility

Flexibility and reliability are two areas where Essemtec's new SP004 and SP150 semi-automatic stencil printers are said to excel, making them ideal for small- to midsize series production.

SP150 is a semi-automatic printer with vision, automatic position control and an integrated stencil cleaning system. A new electronic squeegee pressure regulation option allows the required pressure to be programmed as a software parameter instead of a mechanical preset. This makes setup simpler and increases printing quality.

The tabletop SP004 enhances the existing SP003 with simplified setup. Settings can be memorised and the vision cameras are equipped with laser pointers and fast clamping for swift product changeover.

The SP004 allows printing with 20µm accuracy and below for fine-pitch printing. Substrate and stencil are separated after printing using synchronous screws for a controlled, parallel vertical motion. The speed of this motion can be set, ensuring that printed structures are precise even at ultra fine-pitch.

For larger series, an opening and closing servo system allows the cover to be lifted with two fingers, even if a 9kg stencil and frame are mounted. Stencil frames up to 23 by 23in can be mounted.
