Cutting a dash in lettering and trimming
One-stop supplier for digital printing and sign making, Spandex, is now offering Mutoh’s new Kona series multi-purpose vinyl cutting plotters.
Spandex will supply all three models in the Kona drag-knife cutting plotter range, all of which handle media up to one millimetre in thickness. The series comprises: the Kona SCL-760 with a maximum sheet/roll media width of 1,000mm; the Kona SCL-1400 with maximum sheet/roll media width of 1,640mm; and the Kona SCL-1650, with a maximum sheet/roll media width of 1,890mm.
All three variants feature Mutoh’s integrated electronic positioning as standard. As well as traditional vinyl cutting, this laser-based optical sensor technology allows users to employ automatic contour cutting of pre-printed signs and stickers, providing a low-cost poster trimming solution for individual samples or small production volumes.
