Artists demand quality result
Targeted squarely at the signs, advertising and art print sectors, Sihl has announced two new large format coated canvas media. The inkjet media specialist developed Miro Gallery Canvas White 340 and Fortuna Artist Canvas White 400 to meet growing demand for quality media in the artist sector.
Both materials boast a bright white coating, providing a wide colour gamut, ranging from transparent colour gradients to high colour densities. They are available in various widths and 12m lengths.
Sihl Group UK area sales manager, Sam Iliaifar, explained: “The coating on these canvas products enables them to absorb large amounts of ink. This means that even critical, dark and uniform areas of colour or grey can be homogeneously reproduced. The matt inkjet coating is water-resistant allowing users to print durable, waterproof motifs.”
He added: “The polyester/cotton base of the Miro provides dimensional stability and rigidity. This canvas will satisfy customers in the indoor advertising market or those working with framed works of art. The Fortuna is perfect for the art print sector. It’s flexible, waterproof and delivers an expensive-looking product.”
