Durability as standard
Imaging solutions specialist, Canon UK, reveals that its print permanence was rated highly when tested against Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR) standards. Permanence analysis for the Canon imagePrograf iPF6100 large format printer (LFP), Lucia pigment inks and Canon media demonstrated Canon’s durability.
In the 'displayed prints framed under glass' category, the iPF6100 printer with Lucia pigment inks and Canon media achieved an average permanence rating of greater than 100 years for colour output and greater than 200 years for black-and-white output.
According to WIR tests, the Canon prints were also resistant to damage from high-humidity, resistant to ozone exposure and to water damage.
LFP product professional, CBS marketing at Canon UK, Shane Burchett, said: “The combination of vivid Lucia pigment inks, device consistency and reliability make the iPF6100 one of our best large format printers for the photographic, fine art and graphic arts markets.”
